How to Apply

Alternately, you can drop off a physical application at our main office during business hours, Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5pm. Our office address is 6329 NE Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.

Income Criteria

1. PCRI Scattered Site Homes require that each admitted tenant’s income does not exceed percentage per unit size based on 30%, 50%, 60% of the median income as established for the City of Portland / Multnomah County (published annually by the Portland Housing Bureau and HUD). See the Median Income Guidelines Chart below. Any Applicant whose total household income exceeds 60% of the median income is not eligible for housing at PCRI Scattered Site Homes. Please note that this is calculated on the total gross annual income amount.
2. Gross household income must be at least equal to 1 1/2 times the rent and/or the household holds a qualifying Tenant Based Section 8 Voucher. See the Minimum Income Requirement Guideline Chart below.
3. Please note that PCRI has various restrictions at or below the 60% median income restriction. Lower income restrictions may apply at some of our units.

Some information about applying for a PCRI property:
          When we have found an appropriate property, applicants will be notified and a non-refundable application screening charge of $40.00 per adult will be required. Additional details are included in PCRI’s Criteria for Residency.
          If there are no available properties matching your criteria (number of bedrooms), you will be placed on a waitlist until such a property becomes available.

If you are on a waitlist, you are encouraged to confirm your continued interest in January and June of each year and are encouraged to review PCRI Criteria for Residency (screening criteria) prior to application.

This linked chart is offered as guideline to help determine if your household income qualifies at a particular income level. Income will be reviewed at the time of leasing to determine final approval.

Please note: This is not a waiting list for subsidized (Section 8) housing. That list is currently closed. This list is for our Affordable Housing/Income Restricted properties, including HOME funded properties. All applicants must income qualify as well as pass our background screening process. Rents are based on the Area Medium Income (AMI).
