As 2015 comes to a close, PCRI is preparing welcome baskets which will be provided to next year’s new residents and homeowners. A gift of $20 welcomes a family to their new home with a laundry basket filled with essentials like dish soap, sponges, garbage bags, a shower curtain, a spray bottle and ingredients for nontoxic homemade cleaners—essentials that a family may not have, or may be hidden at the bottom of a moving box.
It doesn’t take much to make a big difference. Please join PCRI by giving on any level: by donating, volunteering, or helping spread the word about how our work prevents displacement and creates stability. Helping out this season is easy:
Your support provides education and support for first-time homeowners like the Shaws, Betty (pictured at left) and Rachel, so they can achieve their dream (and in turn, their rental home is available to stabilize another family!). It helps families like the Orrs, providing stable housing so their children can succeed in school. And your support enables youth to grow and thrive, building confidence while learning new skills, so they can avoid the cycle of poverty.
